Join us for Shakyo (写経) Japanese Calligraphy with Tea and Sweets at UROKO at Springdale General, a traditional Buddhist practice workshop of tracing sacred sutras
by hand. Guided by Tomoko Hetherington, a Japanese brush calligraphy instructor, this
workshop offers a peaceful space to slow down to connect with centuries-old tradition.

No prior experience is required. Gentle, step-by-step guidance is provided, and all materials are included. Workshop includes:

 Mino washi tracing sheet (Heart Sutra)

 Mino washi blank calligraphy sheet
 Practice papers and reference samples
 One brush calligraphy pen
