Tuna Breakdown Ceremony: Celebrating Uroko's 6th Anniversary

Witness the majestic art of butchering a whole tuna, conducted with reverence in traditional Shinto style. Chef Take will open the ceremony by chanting a sacred Norito and performing a ritual offering to the Shinto Kami, inviting harmony, gratitude, and respect for the life taken.

There will be also free sake tasting and giving away free bottled tea during the event. Don’t miss this unique fusion of ritual and cuisine β€” a celebration of tradition, craftsmanship, and the spirit of food.

TUNA BREAKDOWN EVENT SCHEDULE
Thursday, May 1st

πŸ•• 6:00 PM – Be among the first 100 guests to receive a free tuna hand roll ticket! Tickets will be handed out at UROKO, so arrive early to secure yours.

πŸ•‘ 6:30 PM – Tuna Breakdown Ceremony
Chef Take begins the traditional Shinto-style ceremony with a sacred Norito chant and offering to the Shinto Kami, followed by an expert demonstration of whole tuna breakdown.

πŸ•– 7:15 PM – Guests with tickets can redeem their free hand rolls. Additional hand rolls will be available for purchase until 9pm after the first 100 are served.
