Austin Parks Foundation partners with our community to enhance people’s lives by making our public parks, trails and green spaces better through volunteerism, innovative programming, advocacy and financial support.
They have invested over $80 million in Austin parks since their inception in 1992 and their annual flagship volunteer event, It’s My Park Day results in an average of $650,000 in volunteer labor each year. IMPD is the first Saturday of March and November.

Party for the Parks isn’t just a night of fun – it also raises critical funds for our local parks, trails, and green spaces. Catch a performance from the country superstar Orville Peck, touring his third studio album Stampede.
Programming
APF creates programming like Movies in the Park and the Adopt-A-Park program to encourage the use of public space and engage people in Austin parks.
APF is expanding their In the Park Series this fall. They currently host Playdates in the Park, Movies in the Park, and Fitness in the Park. This fall, they will be adding Art in the Park. These are free community events; find more information here.
